Brush Fire in Tewksbury Sunday Afternoon

TEWKSBURY, MA - Firefighters are handling a small brush fire behind the Tewksbury Police Department headquarters Sunday afternoon.

Reports of the fire came in just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday and smoke could be seen in the area.

An engine is going to remain at the location to keep wetting down the area.

The National Weather Service had issued a Red Flag Warning for Eastern Massachusetts on Saturday. The dry air and gusty winds throughout the day will produce critical fire weather conditions.
