Death Investigation Leads to Three Drug Trafficking Arrests
Three men are charged with distribution of heroin and cocaine, as well as possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Three men were arrested Wednesday for trafficking heroin and cocaine after detectives were able to connect a recent overdose to the sale of narcotics from these individuals.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17 Tewksbury Police arrested Junior Rodriguez, 34, of 65 Clermont Ave, Brooklyn, NY, Julio Nieves-Padilla, 31, of 289 Hancock St., Apt., #3R, Boston, MA and Rhoderick Adino, 23, of 9B Camela St., Lawrence, MA for trafficking heroin over 18 grams, distribution of heroin, distribution of cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy.
The arrests resulted from information obtained during the investigation of a recent apparent overdose death. Detectives were able to identify a phone number associated with the sale of narcotics that is believed to be connected to the recent tragedy.

Undercover Police Detectives began an interaction with the suspects and arrangements were made for the suspects to deliver $880 worth of heroin and cocaine to the Lodge at Ames Hill apartment complex. When the suspects arrived, they met with an undercover Police Detective and sold 23 grams of heroin and 3 grams of cocaine. All three individuals were arrested after the sale. An additional 2.3 grams of cocaine was recovered.
Detectives from Andover Police, Billerica Police, and the Massachusetts State Police assisted in the investigation.

All three suspects were due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on Thursday, Feb. 18.
