Dracut Man Arrested In Tewksbury For Selling Fentanyl: Police

Kelvin Sanchez Baez was charged with distribution of a Class A drug after police said they observed him distributing fentanyl.

TEWKSBURY, MA —A Dracut man was arrested in Tewksbury on Thursday after police said they observed him selling fentanyl earlier in the week, the Tewksbury Police Department said.

Kelvin Sanchez Baez, 46, was arrested and charged with distribution of a Class A drug (fentanyl) and he was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Friday.

According to police reports, at approximately 6:33 p.m. Tuesday, TPD officers saw what they believed to be a drug transaction at a business at 95 Main St. Police said the transaction involved a male in a black Honda Civic distributing fentanyl to another party.

The TPD said that after an investigation, it identified Sanchez Baez as the suspect who sold fentanyl. The department said Sanchez Baez was employed at the address where the drug transaction took place.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. Thursday, TPD officers arrested Sanchez Baez without incident, according to the department.
