FBI Confirms Investigation, Search In Tewksbury Tuesday

TEWKSBURY, MA — Multiple law enforcement agencies including the FBI were in Tewksbury Tuesday searching for evidence as part of an unspecified investigation, an FBI spokesperson confirmed in a statement Wednesday.

"The Boston Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, the FBI, and the Tewksbury Police Department [were] conducting law enforcement activity in connection with an ongoing investigation," the four agencies said in the joint statement.

The agencies were "searching for specific evidence."

There was no threat to public safety, according to the statement.

"To protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, we’re going to decline further comment at this time," the agencies said.
