Flash Flood Warning in Effect Until after 6 p.m. Sunday Night
Two inches of rain has already fallen Sunday, another one to three inches expected in between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for several counties throughout the state including Middlesex County for the next few hours.
The warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m.
National Weather Service officials say at 3:12 p.m. doppler radar indicated rain and embedded thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warning area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in some locations. As of 3:15 p.m. Sunday, An additional one to three inches of rain is expected in the next hour or two.

Officials say flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
A flash flood warning is issued for rapid and potentially life threatening flooding. In urban areas avoid flooded roads and obey road closures. Those near small streams much head for higher ground immediately.
