Calling all knitters, crocheters, needle workers, beaders, and colorists! Bring your own craft project to the Library and work on it while enjoying conversation with other crafters. (Please, no crafts involving glue or paint.) Take advantage of the many books available at the library to get ideas for your next project or to explore a new craft. We will be meeting in person.

Author Dr. Kathryn Harkup will discuss her book, Superspy Science: Science, Death and Tech in the World of James Bond. Explore the full range of 007's exploits and the arms, technologies, tactics and downfalls of his various foes. From the practicalities of building a volcano-based lair, to whether being covered in gold paint really will kill you, and – if your plan is to take over the world – whether it is better to use bacteria, bombs, or poison – learn the answers to these questions and more. Harkup is a former chemist turned author. She writes and gives regular public talks on the disgusting and dangerous side of science.

Author Sharon Udasin will discuss her new book, Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America. Learn how PFAS -- a set of toxic chemicals most people have never heard of -- poisoned the entire country. Based on original, shoe-leather reporting in four highly contaminated towns and damning documents from the polluters’ own files, Poisoning the Well traces an ugly history of corporate greed and devastation of human lives. Udasin is an environment reporter who has been delving into water contamination and conservation issues for fifteen years. She was a Ted Scripps Fellow in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder and has reported for numerous outlets, most recently covering U.S. West climate issues for The Hill from 2021-2025. She co-authored Poisoning the Well with Rachel Frazin.

The late 19th-century witnessed the burgeoning of the revolutionary style of French Impressionism. A group of American artists -- Frank Benson, William Merrit Chase, Joseph DeCamp, Thomas Dewing, Childe Hassam, Willard Metcalf, Robert Reid, Edward Simmons, Edmund Tarbell, John Twachtman, and J. Alden Weir -- broke from the Society of American Artists, who were hostile to Impressionism, and spent the next 20 years exhibiting as a collaborative, in much the same way artists such as Monet, Renoir, and Degas had done decades earlier. Explore the individual styles of these artists who were all inspired by Impressionism. Led by art historian Martha Chiarchiaro, owner of Seeing History.

Join us for a brand new, teen-run club - Speedcubing Club! Beginners will learn the skills needed to work towards solving their first cube. More advanced attendees can see if they can beat their best time. All experience levels are welcome. Open to teens in grades 6-12. Please be ready to participate and play. Don't worry, we will have a printout with all of the songs and rhymes we are using so you can follow along! Story Times run in sessions. You can drop in one week, every week or however works best for your schedule. No registration is required. Toddler Story Time will run every Monday from January 5 - May 18 (excluding closings and other exceptions).

A gentle, interactive story time designed especially for our youngest patrons! Babies and their caregivers will enjoy simple stories, rhymes, songs, and bounces that support early language development and bonding. This program is perfect for infants who sit in a caregiver’s lap and are just beginning to explore the world through sound and movement. Join us for sweet moments, early literacy fun, and lots of snuggles. Baby Lapsit is designed for young children ages 0 to 2 years old and their caregivers. All of our story times are interactive for children and their caregivers. Please be ready to participate and play. Don't worry, we will have a printout with all of the songs and rhymes we are using so you can follow along! Story Times run in sessions.
