Four Finalists Selected in Superintendent Search

Superintendent Search Committee members narrowed the four down from a field of just more than two dozen candidates.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Four finalists have been selected from nearly two dozen applicants for the position of superintendent of the Tewksbury Public Schools. Current superintendent John O’Connor is retiring at the end of this school year.

The Superintendent Search Committee announced the four finalists to School Committee members Monday night. The finalists are as follows, according to the Lowell Sun:

  • Christopher Malone (current Revere Public Schools assistant superintendent)
  • Thomas Martellone (principal of the Fiske Elementary School in Lexington)
  • Carla Scuzzarella (North Andover High School principal)
  • Patricia White-Lambright (Assistant superintendent for pupil personnel services, Melrose Public Schools).

The next steps in the process before selecting Tewksbury’s next superintendent include site visits for each finalist during the first week of January, before the candidates return to Tewksbury for visits there and interviews the week after. Finalist interviews will be held Jan. 12, Jan. 13 and Jan. 14.

The School Committee is next scheduled to meet on Jan. 11 where they will hold a public session to review site visit information on each candidate.
