Got Hazardous Waste? Tewksbury To Hold Collection Day

The town is holding a household hazardous waste collection day July 31.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Wondering what to do with your wood varnish, propane, insecticides and hobby supplies? Take them to the town's household hazardous waste collection event, at the end of the month.

The hazardous waste event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler Street. It will be open to non-residents from 11 a.m. to noon, with proof of residency required the rest of the time.

It will cost $60 to have a full car load of waste taken, payable only with checks to the "Town of Tewksbury."

Residents must load their vehicles' trunks with the hazardous waste and remain in the car at all times.
