How Can You Obtain an Absentee Ballot for the Special State Election?

Town Clerk Denise Graffeo has all the information you need to know about how to vote if you can't make it to the polls on election day.

The following information was provided by Town Clerk Denise Graffeo:

Tewksbury Town Clerk, Denise Graffeo, would like to notify voters that Absentee Ballots are now available at the Town Clerk’s Office for the June 25  Special State Election.  The Town Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may vote absentee if you are a registered voter and unable to vote at the polls because:

  1. You will be out of town during the hours the polls are open,
  2. You have a physical disability preventing you from going to the polling place
  3. Religious belief

A request for an Absentee Ballot must be done in writing, by either you or a family member, and received by the Town Clerk’s Office no later than Noon on Monday, June 24, 2013.  Applications may be mailed or hand delivered to the Clerk’s office.  You may request an official “Absentee Ballot Application” from our office, or use any other form of written communication with an original signature. Downloadable Absentee Ballot applications are also available online at the State Elections Division Website.

Please include your name, voting address, and the address you would like the ballot mailed to if different from the voting address.  Absentee ballots must be delivered to the Town Clerk’s Office, not to the precinct on Election Day.  If you need further assistance, please call the Town Clerk’s Office at 978-640-4355.
