Jeanette G. (Trojak) Pozerski, 91

Jeanette G. (Trojak) Pozerski, age 91, a well known and active resident of the town, died Friday morning, December 21, at the Baker Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill, following a very brief decline in her health. She was the beloved wife of Stanley W. Pozerski Sr., who died in 1987.

She was born in Boston, October 28, 1921, one of three daughters of the late John and Agata Trojak. She was raised in the greater Boston area, and moved to Tewksbury in 1954. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service, where she had worked as a tax examiner.

Active at St. William’s Parish, she was a member of the St. William’s Choir, as well as a member of the Tewksbury Ecumenical Choir.

She was also an active volunteer for over 30 years at the American Red Cross, and for over 20 years at Tewksbury Hospital. She served the Town as a staff member at the Election Polls, and in her later years, was active at the Tewksbury Senior Drop In Center.

She is survived by three sons, Stanley W. Pozerski Jr., and his wife Lynda (Therrien) of Pepperell, Gregory M. Pozerski of Tewksbury, and Steven A. Pozerski and his wife Patricia “Trish” (Gardner) of Salem, NH; two grandchildren, Scott Pozerski of Tyngsboro and Peter Pozerski of Billerica; three great grandchildren, Cameron, Kayla, and Brianna; a sister, Eileen Zimmer of Tewksbury; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Trojak.

Visiting hours Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home. Her funeral will begin Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass Thursday, Dec. 27, at 10:00 a.m. In St. William's Church 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.
