Kevin Street Incident Was 'Individual In Crisis': Police
The Monday incident brought the regional SWAT team to town but was resolved safely.

TEWKSBURY, MA — The police presence around Tewksbury's Kevin Street was due to an "individual in crisis" who posed a threat to himself and others, police Chief Ryan Columbus said Wednesday.
"Officers did a tremendous job de-escalating the situation," Columbus said. "When the person would not come out of the home, for everyone’s safety the NELMEC SWAT Team was called to reach a safe resolution for everyone, which is what happened."
The person was taken to a hospital for evaluation but was not charged with anything, Columbus said.
