LETTER: A Confident Vote For Polimeno

Incumbent receives the endorsement of colleague.

To The Editor:

I am confidently voting for Krissy Polimeno for Tewksbury School Committee because she has the leadership skills to move our schools into the 21st Century. If you open the dictionary, it will define a leader as one who guides, one who is in command and one who has influence. Leadership is defined as the capacity and ability to lead, guide and direct. These definitions define Krissy’s efforts on the School Committee for the past three years!

She is currently the Chairperson of the School Committee, a position she has held for two years after being a member of the Committee for one short year. This is not a typical occurrence, but then again Krissy’s drive is not typical either. Her peers, myself included, nominated and selected her for this critical position because Krissy instinctively approaches every task with an open mind, never looking for the easy way out. At the end of the day, for me it's Krissy’s gift to work well with whomever she comes in contact with. I believe positive collaboration is her greatest strengthen, it is a required asset for anyone who aspires to be a School Committee member. These qualities and capabilities were evident by her well-deserved award by the State’s School Committee Association in recognition of her support for children and public education for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in November 2012.
