LETTER: Board Chairman Endorses Johnson For Re-Election

To the Editor:

I have had the pleasure of serving with Todd Johnson on the Tewksbury Board of Selectmen for the past five and a half years. The current Board is comprised of talented individuals who work extremely well together. In my opinion, Todd’s many essential skills make him a standout on this current Board of Selectmen.

Foremost, Todd’s understanding and mastery of the budget process has proven invaluable for leading the BOS through these most difficult economic times. It is clear that his previous experience as a member and former chairman of Tewksbury’s Finance Committee contribute to a depth of understanding of the complicated budget details that confront Tewksbury. Working with the Town Manager and interacting with our Finance Committee, Todd has continually provided significant input in shaping Tewksbury’s annual budget.

Todd served four years as Chairman of the Board of Selectmen. He is a true leader and strives to work in harmony with his fellow colleagues. He is articulate, polite and always a gentleman to interact with but, most of all, has a full understanding of the many issues that our Board regularly deals with. His skills as a speaker and presenter are admirable and a shining image of what a professional Selectman should be.

The Board of Selectmen interacts with our State Delegation on a regular basis regarding State funding concerns and legislation that affect the Town of Tewksbury. Todd’s background as a former legislative aide has been crucial for our Town. His detailed knowledge and his ability to convey Tewksbury’s needs and concerns to our delegation is remarkable and effective.

There is no doubt that Todd Johnson is a valuable asset to the Town of Tewksbury. His devotion to public service and passion to make this a better community is unquestionably evident in his words and actions. I strongly urge the voting residents of Tewksbury to cast one of your two votes for Todd Johnson on Saturday April 6^th!
