LETTER: Friend Angered That Nurse Was Let Go After 45 Years
Reader believes that Lowell General/Saints Medical handled situation in a "despicable" manner.

To The Editor:
Words from her loving and compassionate daughter, " The end of an era. After 45 years of Oncology nursing at Saints Medical Center my mom, Sandra Creamer, (Ph.D Certified Oncology Specialist) got a telephone call, while recuperating from knee replacement surgery two weeks ago, telling her that Lowell General has eliminated her job and the Saints Cancer Center is closing.
The crude and inhuman delivery over the telephone is one of the most despicable corporate moves I have ever seen. The Thousands of patients and caregivers she has treated and LOVED will remain her legacy but I am saddened that Lowell General can just dismiss her impact as easily as throwing out the trash!"
Some comments from friends and coworkers: Horrible, Cold, Sad after all she has done, Wrong, Disgrace, I know firs hand what a special caregiver she is, Cruel and Demoralizing, A Big Dislike, Unbelievable, Unfair.
This dedicated woman has had such an impact on the Greater Lowell Area Community. She was the Heart and Soul of this center. Forty-five years deserves more class than this.
