LETTER: It's Christmas!

It's Christmas!

It's Midnight and the Church bells ring,
from loft & spire all the Angels sing,
The Congregation shares a sign of peace
because IT"S CHRISTMAS!

More than two-thousand years ago
a Babe was born for all the world to know,
a gift of The Father ~
someday that Child would save us!

All the lights on the Village tree,
window candles for the World to see,
There's hope in the hearts
of All God's Children!

Everywhere I go it looks like Christmas!
There's even some diamond snow upon the ground.
Oh, this is the time of year for special wishes;
Oh, I wish upon a star you were with me now!
Oh, I wish with all my heart you were still around!

It's twelve noon and the alarm clocks say
Santa's come & gone in his reindeer sleigh,
Now the neighbors come & go, from door-to-door,
out my window.

Try to wake up my ol' sleepy eyes,
no tree in the parlor, no big surprise,
No stocking full of cheer or candy kisses
and, IT'S CHRISTMAS!

All the bulbs in the Village tree,
window wreaths for the world to see,
There's love in the hearts
of All God's Children!

Yes, I wish upon a star you were with me now!
