LETTER: Polimeno Has Earned Another Term on School Committee

Readers say Polimeno has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

To the Editor:

The purpose of this letter is to support one of the finest public servants that we have witnessed in our time in the Town of Tewksbury.  Honesty, integrity, work-ethic, commitment, and dedication are the best words to describe Krissy Polimeno.  Krissy has gone above and beyond the call of duty during her tenure on the Tewksbury School Committee.  Last year, Krissy led a small group of hard-working individuals to organize the Town-Wide Auction event. This was perhaps the most successful fundraiser in the history of our town and all of our schools benefitted.  This event is just one major example of the quality of leadership that Krissy has shown as well as her ability to think “outside the box”.

Another reason to support Krissy is her ability to effectively work with all of the different groups in our community.  In recent years we have seen political office holders who, while they have been committed to their cause, have been divisive in their approach.  Krissy has shown a unique ability to fight for the improvements needed in our school system without dismissing the critical needs that we have in the other areas of our town such as police, fire and public works.

Krissy has a great working relationship with our Superintendent of Schools, Dr. John O’Connor.  Our town has seen many improvements in education as a result of this strong working relationship.  In addition, she has proven to be effective in working with our Town Manager, Richard Montouri. Together, they have been able to make many common sense decisions that have benefitted all of the people in our community.  We hope that you will join us in enthusiastically supporting Krissy Polimeno by putting her back on the School Committee on April 6th.  With leaders like Krissy in office, we are sure to see continued improvements in our school system.

Brian and Mary Aylward
