LETTER: Polimeno Is The Right Choice For School Committee
Chairman of the Board of Selectmen endorses his School Committee counterpart.

To the Editor:
It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to endorse Krissy Polimeno for her re-election to the Tewksbury School Committee. Krissy’s drive and energy shine through in every challenge she tackles. After just one year on the School Committee, she was elected Chairwoman by her fellow School Committee members. Krissy quickly demonstrated her leadership abilities as Chairwoman and her ability to build a consensus and work closely with her own committee as well as working closely with the Board of Selectman, the Town Manager and other boards in Tewksbury. She was just recently recognized for her leadership qualities on a state level, as Krissy was only one of nine people selected as a member of the All-State School Committee. This is a tremendous accomplishment.
I worked closely with Krissy organizing a town wide clean-up day a few years ago. Her ability to organize and motivate people to join the event was extremely impressive. The one-day event was a huge success and Main Street in Tewksbury looked fantastic.

The Board of Selectmen, along with the Town Manager, work closely with each department on the annual town budget. When working with the School Committee’s budget, Krissy is always prepared with detailed information on the School Department’s expectations and needs for the upcoming year. Krissy shows both guidance and cooperation in working together to finalize the School Department’s final budget.
Last year when there was a proposed change to our town government to eliminate Open Town meeting, and Krissy did not hesitate to voice her opinion. She read through the lengthy document that was proposed and was deeply concerned that this change in our town government would have a drastic negative effort on the School Department’s budget. Her vigilant concern was indicative of how Krissy takes her position seriously to make sure our residents maintain the services that are essential to this town.

On Saturday April 6th, I urge the voting residents of Tewksbury to cast one of your two votes for School Committee for Krissy Polimeno!
