Letter To The Editor: Statement from Robert Marcin
Letters may be sent to williamg@patch.com

For the past thirty years, I have had the luxury of being a member of the Tewksbury community. As a member of this community, I feel as if I have a responsibility to improve the value of life for my family and others who live here. As a resident of Tewksbury, I have made an effort towards being as involved as I can with the town and its residents. I have been a local business owner, a member of the Finance Committee and Zoning Board of Appeal, as well as a figure in youth sports formerly serving as president of youth basketball and manager of youth baseball.
In addition to my efforts locally, I was an active member of the Pope John community in Everett, Massachusetts serving as a member of both the Advisory Board and Finance Committee. Through the help of other parents, we were able to raise over $250,000 annually for our children’s athletic budget. My experience with our local subcommittees, and Pope John’s, has given me an understanding of what it takes to make improvements and achieve goals whether it be for a high school or an entire town.
Our involvement in town politics is essential to achieving the goals that we aspire to reach. It will be a collective effort including the Town Manager, the Board of Selectmen, and especially the voice of our community. Through contribution and cooperation, my goals are attainable and will serve as a foundation for improvements within our town.

I hope to see you all out making your vote count.
