The 22-year-old Lowell man is accused of firing at a car with three people including a child in it after it prevented him from turning.
LOWELL, MA — A Lowell man was charged in connection with firing at a vehicle in Dracut and then crashing head-on into another vehicle in Lowell days later, officials said Friday.
Prosecutors and police said Brayan Santana-Moyet, 22 of Lowell, fired a gun multiple times at a 32-year-old Lowell woman who was driving with a New Hampshire man and their child on Saturday. Two days later, he crashed head-on into another vehicle in Lowell after driving the wrong direction on Middlesex Street, officials said.

Investigators believe that on Saturday, Santana-Moyet was driving a light blue Honda CRV around Bridge Street in Dracut when he tried to make a right turn. He was unable to turn because of the victim's vehicle.
"The defendant allegedly appeared impatient and was observed throwing his hands up before allegedly following the victim down Pleasant Street, driving in front of and alongside the vehicle and braking intermittently," officials said. "Eventually, as the victim attempted to maneuver around Brayan Santana-Moyet, he allegedly exited the car and fired multiple shots striking the vehicle once before fleeing the scene."
No one was injured in the shooting. The occupants were the 32-year-old Lowell woman, a 33-year-old Hudson, New Hampshire man and their child.
On Monday, Lowell police spotted a car going the wrong direction down Middlesex Street. The driver continued onto Burnside Street and crashed head-on into a large pick-up truck.
The three occupants of the vehicle, Santana-Moyet, another Lowell man and a Lowell woman, were all hospitalized. Only Santana-Moyet remains hospitalized. The driver of the truck was not seriously hurt.
Following the crash, police reviewed surveillance video and witness interviews and identified Santana-Moyet as the driver in the Dracut shooting, officials said.
A gun was found in the vehicle after the crash.
The other two people in the car were Kevin Santiago, 23 of Lowell, and Leilany Colon, 22 of Lowell. They were both charged with carrying a gun without a license, possession of a large-capacity gun and carrying a loaded gun, in connection to the gun found in the car.
Colon was arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court and released on personal recognizance. The arraignment date for Santiago has not been set.
Dracut and Lowell police and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office are investigating. The Middlesex Sheriff's Office Warrant Apprehension Unit assisted.
All people are considered innocent until proven guilty.
