Lowell Police: Man Arrested After Cleaver Attack
A man was found with serious facial injuries in the early morning on Sunday.
LOWELL, MA — Lowell police arrested a man who they said attacked another man with a cleaver Sunday, the department said.
Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday police found a man with severe facial injuries in downtown Lowell. He was treated at a local hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries including two bad cuts to his head, police said.
Edwin Ramos, 37, of Lowell was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury. Police said Ramos attacked the victim with a cleaver during a confrontation.

Lowell police detectives are still investigating the incident. They did not identify the victim.
All people are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
