Mahoney's Participating in Annual Trees for Troops Campaign

Imagine somewhere on the other side of the world, a group of U.S. troops gathered around a fresh, real Christmas tree that was express shipped from the states. Or imagine how a military family of a deployed loved one would feel if they received a real Christmas tree, given by a caring family they have never met.

This is the mission of “Trees for Troops,” a national charitable campaign that provides real Christmas trees to members of the armed forces and their families at more than 60 military bases in the U.S. and overseas. Since 2005, Trees for Troops has provided more than 122,000 Christmas Trees to military families and troops in the United States and overseas.

This year is Mahoney’s ninth year participating in the Trees for Troops program and they hope to make it their most successful year yet.

Through the support of its customers, last year Mahoney’s was able to donate 2,700 Christmas trees. This year, with your help they think they can do even better. This year Mahoney’s has made it easier than ever to donate a tree by accepting donations in all of their stores, online and over the phone.

For your donation of $30 a Mahoney’s Grown 7-foot Balsam Fir will be picked up by FedEx and shipped to one of more than 60 military bases in the U.S. and overseas. A card with your Christmas wish or message of gratitude will accompany your tree. Donations are tax deductible, you can donate as many trees as you’d like, and for every tree donated by our customers, Mahoney’s will make a $5 donation to the ChristmasSPIRIT Foundation.
