Man Struck By Car on Route 38 in Tewksbury in Serious Condition

A New Hampshire man was struck by a car while running across Route 38 on the night of May 4.

 

A Pelham, New Hampshire man is in serious condition at Boston Medical Center after being struck by a car on Route 38 in Tewksbury Saturday night, according to a report from the Lowell Sun.

Krystopher Draper, 22, of Pelham was reportedly struck by a vehicle near the entrance to Burger King on Route 38 shortly before 11 p.m. on May 4, according to the Sun.

Police report Draper got out of the passenger seat of a car in the northbound turn lane waiting to turn into Burger King and attempted to run to his own car parked in the restaurant's parking lot, according to the Sun. 

Draper was struck by a Nissan travelling southbound, driven by a 52-year-old Lowell man, and was in serious condition when officers arrived on the scene, according to the Sun.

The driver of the Nissan was not at fault, and police have not released his identity because he has not been charged, according to the Sun.

Draper was transported by ambulance to the Walmart parking lot, and subsequently airlifted to Boston Medical Center, the Sun reports.
