Massachusetts State Police Add Accused Child Rapist to Most Wanted List

After September arrest he was placed on a GPS monitoring device. He later removed the device and fled. Officials are looking for him.

The Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section Monday added a suspected child rapist to its list of Most Wanted fugitives.

John F. Munroe, 75, was arrested in September by Fall River Police on charges of rape of child with force, aggravated rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, enticement of a child under 16, exhibiting a child in a nude or lascivious pose, and possession of child pornography.

According to police, Munroe was placed on a court-ordered GPS monitoring device while awaiting trial. On or around Oct. 23, he intentionally removed the monitoring device and fled. His vehicle was later found in the town of Hull, but he remains at large. State and Fall River Police are actively looking for him.
