After Tewksbury Memorial High School juniors and seniors witnessed a mock accident involving six of their classmates on Tuesday, the assembly moved into the school's auditorium for the second part of their presentation.
Members of the Tewksbury Police Department played out a scenario in which they notified the mother of the fatality in the mock crash that her daughter had died in a crash precipitated by drunk driving.

Finally, the curtains were pulled back on the stage, revealing a coffin which contained a mirror.
Students were asked to walk by the coffin, looking in as they passed by.

Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, addressing the assembly, urged students to make smart decisions on prom night as well as during the time leading up to graduation.
"We are very fortunate to have a community that is so passionate about you young people," Sheehan said.
