New Superintendent Could be Named This Week
After interviewing the four finalists this week, School Committee members could announce the new superintendent at Thursday's meeting.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Residents could find out this week who Tewksbury’s new Superintendent of Schools is going to be.
Current superintendent John O’Connor is retiring at the end of this school year.
The field of nearly more than two dozen candidates was narrowed down to four finalists last month and include candidates from Revere, Lexington, North Andover and Melrose:

- Christopher Malone (current Revere Public Schools assistant superintendent)
- Thomas Martellone (principal of the Fiske Elementary School in Lexington)
- Carla Scuzzarella (North Andover High School principal)
- Patricia White-Lambright (Assistant superintendent for pupil personnel services, Melrose Public Schools).
Following recent site visits for all of the candidates, each finalist is being interviewed by School Committee members this week. Tuesday night they are interviewing Martellone, Wednesday night Scuzzarella and Malone and Thursday night White-Lambright.
According to the School Committee’s Thursday night meeting agenda, the board will deliberate who will be the new superintendent of schools.
