Residents Hope to Help North Street Homeowner Rebuild

On Thursday, December 6, George Bradley’s world changed forever when a fire broke out at his North Street home.

Resident Jenny Connell decided to be a good neighbor and set up a “Give Forward” page called Help George Rebuild. The goal of the page is to raise funds to help Bradley rebuild his home and remain in the North Street neighborhood he loves. 

“My husband and I are working hard to get everything back for George,” she said. “He has been my neighbor for my entire life and I cannot even begin to fathom the toll this will take on a mental and emotional level.”

North Reading

The Joe Fish restaurant will open on Main Street in North Reading Monday, Dec. 10, according to the building department. The restaurant will be located in the old Piccadilly Pub. The interior was gutted and renovated and the exterior was repainted and new signage installed.

Andover

Running Specialty Shop Opens in Andover

The Greater Boston Running Company, 45 Main Street, is all about injury prevention, according to Manager Tom Poland. The new specialty store that carries shoes, apparel and gear is located at the former site of J.L. Coombs and Dahers.

The Andover store, owned by the Running Specialist Group, is one of four Greater Boston locations. Runner Gene Mitchell founded the company with the opening of the Princeton Running Company in 1998.

Chelmsford

Chelmsford Patch has learned from Chelmsford town manager Paul Cohen that a lawsuit between Roland Van Liew and Chelmsford's Board of Selectmen regarding the 9 North Road project will be appealed, following its dismissal last month.
