Pedestrian Seriously Injured In OUI Crash: Tewksbury Police
A juvenile was charged with operating under the influence of marijuana causing serious injury.
TEWKSBURY, MA — A woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car in Tewksbury Monday, police said.
According to the police, the woman was standing on the side of Regina S. Drive. A vehicle left its lane, crossed to the opposite lane and hit her. She was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and was in stable condition as of Tuesday.
Police responded around 2:24 p.m. to the reported accident. Officers arrested a juvenile and charged them with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60, operating to endanger, and operating under the influence of drugs and causing serious bodily injury.
