Police Investigate Break-in on Astle Street

B&E on Astle Street
On Thursday, police responded to a call regarding a breaking and entering into a home on Astle Street. A caller reported that she just received a call from her mother-in-law about her house being broken into on Astle Street. Two police cruisers responded.

Arrests
Thomas Fitzpatrick, 29, of 6 Harvard St., Apt. 3, Lowell, was arrested June 27, on Main Street. Fitzpatrick was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, shoplifting over $100 worth of merchandise by concealing it.

Arthur Scott Bernier, 41, of 180 Kendell Road, was arrested on June 27, on Kendall Road. Bernier was charged with assault and battery.
William Dozois, 19, 20 Bopete Lane, was arrested on June 28, on Main Street. Dozois was arrested on a warrant.
Other incidents:
On June 27, at 7:01 p.m. a caller reported a fire at Allen Road. The homeowner ended up extinguishing the flame himself.
On June 27, at 3:36 p.m., a caller reported that someone stole his town-issued trash barrel.
On June 27, at 7:20 a.m. a caller reported two individuals stealing scrap metal from a dumpster on Clark Road. A patrol car was sent to the area.
On June 28, at 4:27 p.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported at the Shell Gas Station on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
On June 28, at 5:22 a.m., a caller reported a vehicle that was broken into on Greenwood Road.
On June 28, at 9:36 p.m. a caller reported that two vehicles were broken into on Highland Ave. A change canister was taken.
On June 28, at 11:15 p.m., a caller reported hitting a telephone pole on Main Street. The driver was cited for a marked lanes violation.
