With the Redmen in a rebuilding season, the Lions didn't find nearly as much resistance in a 53-24 win at the TMHS gym on Wednesday.

Tewksbury got a first-round pinfall win by Mike Donovan at 126 pounds and another from Nick Falcone (40 seconds) at 138. Tim Martel continued his excellent season with a first-round pin (55 seconds) at 182 and Nick Jansen scored a first-round pin (48 seconds) at 220.

Boys Ice Hockey

Tewksbury 5, Billerica 0

The Redmen improved to 4-1-1 on the season with a decisive 5-0 win over Billerica at the Breakaway Ice Center on Wednesday.

Sophomore goalie Kyle Paquette notched his first shutout of the season, turning aside 26 shots along the way.

The offense was led by senior Derek Petti, who scored a pair of goals. Jack Cash, Pat Doherty and Jeff Giasullo had the other goals for the Redmen. Senior Mike Casey asisted on three of the goals. Ryan Meade had two assists. Cash and Doherty also added assists.
