The Tewksbury High wrestling team was in action against three opponents on Saturday, losing two matches but picking up its first victory of the year, 39-36, over Tyngsboro.

Tewksbury also lost to Shawsheen Tech (56-13) and MVC rival Lowell High, 48-28.
Dan Donavan had an outstanding day for the Redmen, winning all three of his matches at 195 pounds. Joe Burger also put together a perfect 3-0 day at 145 pounds.
Nick Jansen continued his strong season with a pair of victories at 220 pounds. Tim Martel also posted two wins at 182.
Tewksbury is now 1-6 on the season and will compete in the upcoming Lowell Holiday Tournament.
Boys Hockey
Tewksbury 8, North Andover 0
The Petti brothers combined for five goals, as Tewksbury High put an 8-0 beatdown on North Andover on Saturday.
Ryan Petti led the way with a hat trick and an assist. Derek Petti chipped in with two goals and two assists for ther Redmen.
Pat Doherty continued his strong senior season with a pair of goals. David Dempsey also scored.
Kyle Paquette and Ryan Cote combined on the shutout in net. Paquette had 15 saves and Cote had 10.
The Redmen (2-1-1) will be back in action after Christmas when they make their annual trip to Maine for the Holiday Tournament.
