55 yard Hurdles
Eddie Matovu 1st 6.8
Dom Rosado 2nd 7.1
"Our Hurdlers Eddie Matovu and Dom Rosado finished first and second respectively. Eddie seems to be getting into great shape and starting to come along. Rosado has blossomed into a great hurdler ever since we made the move about a month ago," said Meuse.
50 yard Dash
Joe Poli - 1st 6.0
Roy Felix - 2nd 6.0
Dennis Ong 3rd 6.0
"We got 9 huge points in the 50 yard dash which really set the tone for the meet. Joe Poli who finished first has been a very tough competitor in the dash,, Felix, who has shown that he is pretty good at multiple events, received the second. And first year runner (Junior) Dennis Ong finished 3rd," said Meuse.
2 mile
Cory Thomas - 1st 10:33
Mike Famiglietti - 2nd 10:57.6
300 yard
Cory Cataldo- 1st 34.5
Blake Hery - 3rd 36.9
"Cory Cataldo had another huge meet with first place finishes in the 300 and the High Jump. Cory is a tremendous athlete and we kind of take him for granted because you think that Cory is automatic. But I know how hard it is to compete in the MVC and nothing is guaranteed, so Cory Cataldo is pretty special," said Meuse.
600 yard
Eric Torres - 2nd 1:24.6
"The race of the day was Eric Torres in the 600, yes he came in second but he battled a very good Dracut runner. Torres is as tough as they come. I am proud to call him a Captain. I told him that I expected only a point from the 600 today and I told him to prove me wrong. Well he did. Not only did he get us 3 points, he came on strong at the end to almost come in first. Just an awesome race," said Meuse.
1,000 yard
Nick Souza - 2nd 2:57.6
Anthony Darrigo - 3rd 3:01.6
1Mile
Brian Amaral - 1st 4:43.7
Joey Darrigo - 3rd 5:10.7
"From the distance end, Brian Amaral and Cory Thomas came in first in their respected races. We are very fortunate to have 2 of the best runners in the area. They are fun to watch and the people of Tewksbury should really come to see these kids run. They had great success in Cross Country and they are having a terrific indoor season," said Meuse.
High Jump
Cory Cataldo - 1st 5'6"
Dennis Ong - 3rd 5'0
"Dennis (Ong) also finished 3rd in the high jump. Dennis is a very talented athlete. I wish he came out his freshmen year because he is just starting to figure out how track works, which had slowed him in the beginning of the year but now he is coming along nicely," said Meuse.
Shot Put
John Fiorelli - 1st 50'9"
Steve DeFrancesco - 2nd 45'4.25"
"Our Throwers had another nice day, with Fiorello topping 50 feet again and Steven Defranceso breaking 45 for the first time in his career," said Meuse.
