Division 2 State Relays
The Tewksbury High boys track team turned in an outstanding effort over the weekend, placing third at the Division 2 State Relays.

The Redmen finished with 32 points behind Woburn (37) and Reading (33).
Tewksbury got second place finishers from the Distance Medley team of Brian Amaral, Roy Felix, Nick Souza and Cory Thomas and the Long Jump team of Cory Cataldo, Roy Felix and Kevin Jones. Both team's set new school records in the process.

Also placing second was the Shuttle Hurdles team of Cory Cataldo, Kevin Jones, Eddie Matovu and Dom Rosado.
The Sprint Medley of Cory Thomas, Roy Felix, Joe Poli and Cory Cataldo placed third. The Shot Put team of John Fiorello, Steve Defrancesco and James Aronson placed 5th.
"The kids really performed well today," said Coach Bill Meuse. "I told the kids if everything went perfect we might be able to score 30 points and be in contention and the kids came in and put up 32 against very good competition. I am very proud of all of them, it was a total team effort today. Everyone who came on the bus today helped out in some way. We as a coaching staff are just so proud of all of them. Both Corys (Cataldo and Thomas) just had awesome days. They both work so hard and it’s really showing. They are both fun to watch!"
Girls Hockey
Andover 7, Tewksbury/Methuen 4
The Tewksbury/Methuen girls hockey team got four goals from Amanda Conway but was outgunned by Andover, 7-4.
Kathleen LeFebvre has three assists, Riley Cote has two assists, Maddie Fotino, Amanda Mambro and Kelly Golini has one assist each.
Goalie Taylor Lirakis made 32 saves for the Red Rangers.

New Bedford 52, Tewksbury 20
The Redmen appear to be gathering momentum as the season progresses. Over the weekend, they traveled to New Bedford for a quad meet and came away with two victories.
Nick Jansen continued his outstanding season, posting three wins at 220, including a pair of pins. Brock Dokos (170) and Tm Martel (182) both went 2-0 with two pins each. Mike McAteer (106), Nick Falcone (138) and Dan Donovan (195) each posted 2-1 records.
Boys Ice Hockey
Tewksbury 6, Methuen 4
After being held scoreless in a loss to Lincoln-Sudbury, Captain Derek Petti exploded with two goals and two assists to lead the Redmen past Methuen. Tyler Slavin also had a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the third period.
Ryan Petti and Ryan Meade had the other goals for Tewksbury. Pat Doherty and Shannon Alukonis chipped in with two assists each. Kyle Paquette turned aside 22 shots. With the win, the Redmen improved to 8-2-1.
