In 2015, RTN grew its loan portfolio by nearly $51 million in mortgages, auto lending and business lending, according to a press release from the bank.

“We enjoyed an exceptional year with a 14.4-percent loan growth that outperformed our peers,” said RTN Treasurer and Chief Executive Office Richard Wright in a Town Meeting with employees earlier this month. “Equally as gratifying is that we were able to help nearly 6,000 members finance their needs throughout the various phases of their lives.”
RTN placed eighth in multi-family sales volume, fifth in condominium sales dollar amount, and sixth in number of condominium loans among all credit unions throughout the state.

RTN marked its 70th anniversary in 2015 with significant growth in membership resulting from its merger last fall with W-G Federal Credit Union in Worcester. It expanded its mortgage and loan products and diversified its services with the creation of RTN Realty Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned real estate subsidiary licensed to do business in Massachusetts.
“We are in good position to continue this growth,” said Wright. “We plan to be on the forefront of opportunity.”
RTN Federal Credit Union is a full-service financial cooperative, providing members with high-quality financial products and customized service. Founded in 1945, RTN is one of the largest credit unions in Massachusetts, with $825 million in assets, nearly 50,000 members and 20 community and worksite branches. Membership is open to employees and families of more than 650 employer groups.
