Saturday Deliveries to Begin at Sutton Brook Superfund Site

Soil deliveries will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. starting on Saturday, June 6.

Last week, the EPA update on the Sutton Brook superfund site, said construction activities are going full speed with lots of progress being made. Going forward, the site will be active and regular deliveries of materials, supplies or equipment will continue. Large volume soil deliveries have been ongoing and are expected to continue through the fall of 2015.

Landfill capping has been ongoing Monday through Saturday each week.

After consideration, including consultation with the Town of Tewksbury, the project will initiate Saturday soil deliveries between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. starting on Saturday June 6. This step is being taken to keep up with the supply needs of the project and to complete landfill capping as rapidly as possible. Weekday deliveries will continue as they have on a full day basis.

Throughout the course of the project, the EPA will continue to provide updates on upcoming site activities as much in advance as feasible.
