Second Suspect Arrested In Kidnapping, Carjacking
Victim was kidnapped at Motel 6 on Dec. 26.

Tewksbury Police have apprehended a second suspect in connection with a carjacking/kidnapping that took place on the day after Christmas.
Tayla Spencer, 18, of 16 Fowler St, Dorchester, is charged with Kidnapping, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Armed Robbery, Carjacking and Conspiracy.
According to Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, Spencer was arrested on Jan. 21 in Boston after the Tewksbury Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for her. The arrest was made with the assistance from the Boston Police Department.

The arrest is in connection with an incident that took place on Dec. 26. Officers responded to the Motel 6 for a report of a person being kidnapped and forced into their vehicle. The victim told police he escaped in Lowell and reported the suspect had stolen his vehicle.
The victim told investigators he was held at knife point at the Motel 6 and was threatened to be killed if he did not comply with the suspects demands. He said he was robbed of personal belongings and beaten.

The stolen vehicle was recovered in Roxbury on New Year's Day.
Jeffrey Venter was the first suspect arrested and was arraigned at Lowell District Court on Jan. 2. Spencer was arraigned on Jan. 22.
