Selectmen Form Committee To Review Tewksbury Bylaws
The Board of Selectmen appointed five residents to the new General Bylaw Committee.
TEWKSBURY, MA — The selectmen appointed five residents to a new committee tasked with reviewing and updating the town's general bylaws Tuesday.
The Board of Selectmen appointed one of its own members, Jayne Wellman, along with four residents. The town clerk and town manager will also sit on the new General Bylaw Committee as non-voting members.
Four residents applied for one-year terms on the committee: Alexandra Lowder, Jason Christian, Dustin Weir and George Ferdinand. All four were approved by the selectmen.

The committee, created in Aug. 2020, will review the general by-laws and make recommendations for updates and changes to a future Town Meeting.
"We have a number of bylaws that are outdated and need to be brought in line with the 21st century," said Wellman when the selectmen agreed to create the committee.
