Pedestrian Killed In Tewksbury Crash: Police

A person is dead and a road is closed following an accident in Tewksbury early Monday morning, according to police.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A pedestrian was killed in an accident early Monday, according to police.

A vehicle struck the pedestrian at 5:17 a.m. The man was taken to a local hospital and declared dead, police said.

Main Street (Route 38) at Clark Road in Tewksbury was closed Monday morning due to the crash.

Police advised drivers to avoid the area. Detours are being set up.

The crash remains under investigation by Tewksbury Police, with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
