10 Questions

How Long Have You Been In Business:  4 years

What Is Your Experience/Business Background:  I have been in the fitness industry for 4 years, and I have an undergraduate and graduate degree in Marketing

What Is Your Business Philosophy?: “Train with a Purpose”.  While it is specific to this industry I think it can be used in any scenario.  If you are going to take the time to do something, than do it right and with a purpose.  I also feel that exercise should be both safe and challenging.  Making sure clients use correct form and work within their abilities, while taking into account any physical limitations that they may have is important.

What Is Your Favorite Part Of Your Job?: Seeing the changes people go through and the positive impact it has on them, in terms of their level of fitness, improved health, and overall confidence.

What Are The Biggest Challenges You Face?:  Trying to get people to overcome obstacles and believe that they can make changes. Also, I strive to have clients feel comfortable working to their physical ability and challenging themselves in ways that they never thought possible before.

What Makes Your Business Unique In Your Industry? Our facility is smaller than a lot of Franchise Gyms, so there is a community feel to our gym.  I know all the members by name, what their background is, and create a program to their specific needs and wants.  The environment is very relaxed and welcoming to people of all ages, and all levels of fitness.  Classes and groups are organized and programmed to best accommodate specific age groups and abilities.

What is One Word People Use To Describe You? Dedicated

When You Were a Young Child, What Did You Want To Be When You Grew Up? Rich.  No I really don’t know.  I think it was something different everyday.  I was very into sports though, so I always hoped to be able to stay involved some how.

If You Were Given $100,000 To Invest In Your Business, How Would You Use It?: I would invest the money in the business by getting more involved within the community.  For example work more with our local sports teams and organization, local business, and other groups and organizations around town.
