Tewksbury Election Results Are In

Wellman, Kratman secure spots on the Tewksbury Select Board, while Biagioni-Smith takes the win for School Board.

TEWKSBURY, MA — The election results for the Select Board are in, and Tewksbury voters have chosen incumbent Selectwoman Jayne Wellman and former board member Mark Kratman to fill the open seats.

Wellman came in with 1,262 votes, and Kratman received the most with 1,277. Jomarie Buckley received 1,120 votes.

"I'm really excited and really appreciative to the voters in Tewksbury who came out today and showed strong support for my campaign," Wellman said in a statement Saturday night. "I'm looking forward to the next three years."

In the race for School Committee, Kayla Biagioni-Smith came in first with 1,587 votes, and Rich Russo, with 1,403 votes, both beating Christine Chesbrough for the two seats available. Chesbrough received 781 votes.

In the planning board, James J. Duffy came in first with 819 votes, followed by Jeremiah Joseph Delaney with 736.

Julie Naughton and Susanne Pedersen ran unopposed for the Board of Library Trustees. Dustin Weir was unopposed for the position of moderator and Shawsheen Regional Technical High School Committee member Patricia Meuse was unopposed in her run for re-election.

Susan Amato and Melissa Taveres Braga will take seats on the Board of Health.
