Tewksbury Fire Department To Host Fire Safety Open House

The Tewksbury Fire Department is holding a Fire Safety Open House at Central Fire Station, 21 Town Hall Avenue on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 1 pm - 4 pm.
The open house is part of National Fire Prevention Month.
For the past 18 years, New England Fire Departments and Papa Gino’s have helped more than 2 million people by supplying educational materials and free pizza at fire safety open houses.

Some of the exciting visuals include firefighters demonstrating the way to escape a smoke-filled room, cooking safety tips, fire prevention tips and Sparky, the fire safety mascot, interacting with the children.
Each year, fires claim hundreds of lives throughout New England. Fire Safety Open Houses are geared towards educating the community and preparing them for potential fires. Each year, these Open Houses help to better prepare families in the event of a fire and hopefully save lives.
