Tewksbury Has a New Superintendent of Schools

Christopher Malone will replace current Tewksbury superintendent John O'Connor who is retiring at the end of this school year.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Thursday night Tewksbury School Committee members voted and the town has a new Superintendent of Schools.

Christopher Malone will be the next superintendent, the Lowell Sun is reporting.

The committee voted unanimously Thursday night to appoint Malone to the position. He is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Revere.

Malone was one of four finalists selected from a field of more than two dozen applicants for the position.

The committee’s vote came after four days of interviews with each of the finalists which began on Tuesday night.
