TEWKSBURY, MA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes this mom extra special?
She has never stopped being a mother to her children. She lost her husband at a young age. It forced her to become a mom and dad to her children. Even as her grandchildren are joining her legacy, she is still a mother to her kids.
Why do you feel this mom deserves the spotlight?
As mothers, we don't have to be acknowledged, but when your mother becomes your mother and father, she needs some type of acknowledgment that she is doing her best.
