Tewksbury Police Arrest Heroin Distributor

Months-long investigation leads to arrest of Lowell man.

During the months of March, April, and May of 2015, members of the Tewksbury Police Department conducted a narcotics investigation into the residence located at 109A Foster Road in Tewksbury. This narcotics investigation conducted by Tewksbury Detectives included both stationary and moving surveillance on the residence, as well as controlled purchases of heroin from the past occupant — who was identified as Thomas Strobel.

Once the narcotics investigation ended on May 22, Tewksbury Detectives obtained an arrest warrant from Lowell District Court for Thomas Strobel for Two Counts of Distribution of a Class A Substance (heroin).

At approximately 10:48 p.m. on Friday, May 22, members of the Lowell Police Department assisted Tewksbury Detectives in locating and arresting Thomas Strobel, 36, of 17 Lupine St. in Lowell, MA.

In addition to the arrest warrant, additional heroin was located on Strobel’s person and he was also charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Substance (heroin).

Thomas Strobel is due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on Tuesday, May 26.
