Tewksbury Police Make Drug Distribution Arrest

The following information is provided by the Tewksbury Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The Tewksbury Police Department arrested two Fitchburg residents on Sunday with 12 bags of heroin and more than $4,000 in cash. 

Harry Acosta, 38, of 76 Penn St, Apt. FL2, Fitchburg was arrested for 2 counts of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and hashish as well as conspiracy.  

Daniel Echevarria, 42, of 88 Mt. Vernon St. Apt. 3, Fitchburg was arrested for conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

Acosta and Echevarria were arrested after detectives witnessed a drug transaction while conducting surveillance at the Mobil on the Run located at 1785 Andover St.    

Over $4000 dollars was seized as well as 12 bags of heroin.

Both Acosta and Echevarria were scheduled to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on July 8.
