Tewksbury Republican Town Committee June Meeting Recap

The TRTC heard from a representative of the Gabriel Gomez campaign.

 

The following information was provided by Bob Homeyer, Chairman of the Tewksbury Republican Town Committee: 

The Tewksbury Republican Town Committee held their June meeting on Monday, June 3 and accomplished the following:

  • We discussed our success with the Memorial Day Parade.
  • We discussed our plans for the 4th of July celebration.
  • Jack Dunfey has returned from wintering in Florida full of fire and vigor.
  • Fellow Library Trustee Pat Joyce will help hold signs at the Library.
  • Carolyn Donovan states we still have a few members who have yet to pay their 2013 dues. 
  • We assigned Team Captains for the polling stations to hold Gomez signs in the upcoming Special Election onJune 25th where Gomez will replace Kerry.
    • Senior Center - Ruth & David Chou
    • Youth Center - Doug Sears
    • Library - Bob Homeyer
    • 133 Church - Jim Wentworth
  • Bobby Vainshtein from the Gomez campaign addressed the group.  He also brought us lawn signs, bumper stickers and handouts.  Bobby is looking for people within our group to work on the phone banks (from at home or one of the new campaign offices in Wilmington or Wakefield - more info to follow), knock on doors, participate in standouts, etc.
  • Each of the membership present grabbed a bunch of materials and Doug Sears has the overflow.
  • We have a lot to do in the upcoming weeks and when we meet again on July 1, 2013 for our last meeting of the summer we hope to be celebrating the Gomez victory.
