Tewksbury Schools Collecting Backpacks and School Supplies

Town wide event August 20 will help those who may need some assistance as the new school year approaches.

The Parent Advisory Councils from the Dewing, Heath Brook, North Street and Trahan schools decided to come together to offer a service to the Tewksbury community. Many of us know of families that may have a short term need for some assistance with organizing all the resources that our children need at the start of a school year. We would like to help.

On August 20 from 4-7 p.m. at Oakdale Plaza, 1900 Main St., they will be holding town wide event (Stuff the Bus) to collect backpacks and school supplies. The backpacks will be stuffed with items needed to start school off right.

Friends of the schools and community members are invited to donate one or more items - pencils, crayons, folders are just a few items that we hope to collect from this event.
