Here is a rundown of Wednesday’s ceremony:

This year’s Master of Ceremonies is Bill Paquette, Quartermaster VFW Post 8164. He will also be conducting the opening prayer.

Tewksbury Boys and Girls Scouts will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

Bruce Panilaitis, vice chairman of the Board of Selectmen will give the greeting from the town and the introduction of elected officials.

The guest speaker for Wednesday’s Veterans Day events is Derek Welch.

Elected officials expected to be on hand include:

  • U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey
  • U.S. Representative Seth Moulton
  • State Senator Barbara L’Italien
  • State Representatives James Miceli and James Lyons.

Presentation of Wreaths:

V.F.W., D.A.V., American Legion, Korean War Veterans will present flowers to honor all our deceased service members and salute our comrades.

  • Vietnam War
  • Kosovo, Bosnia, Panama
  • War on Terrorism
  • Persian Gulf War
  • Afghanistan and Iraq Wars

The National Anthem will be performed by theTewksbury Memorial High School Band, directed by Heather Ware.

Also on hand will be the Tewksbury Police and Fire Honor Guard

Honor Guard 21 Gun Salute (V.F.W. Post # 8164 & the Korean War Veterans Association)

Taps and Echo (Tewksbury Memorial High School Band, directed by Heather Ware)

Wednesday’s ceremony will close with “God Bless America” performed by the Tewksbury Swinging Seniors.
