TEWKSBURY, MA - Theresa Mary (Kowalski) Russo, age 58, died peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Friday afternoon, March 4, after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Winthrop, daughter of Michael Kowalski and the late Theresa (Ippolito) Kowalski, and raised in East Boston. Her family moved to Tewksbury more than 40 years ago, where she had remained. She was a member of the St. William’s Parish community.

During the 80’s, while in better health, Theresa worked as a production assistant at Vicor Company in Andover.

She was remembered for her devotion as a mother and loving daughter who made many sacrifices to care for her dear mother during her mom’s extended illness. She was also remembered for her love of arts and crafts, and enjoyed time spent with her many pets over the years, especially time with her beloved dog, Beethoven.

She leaves two sisters, Mary Ann Carlson and her husband Glenn of Tewksbury, Deborah Kowalski of Concord; grandson, John Nicholas Porto; nieces and nephews, Cassandra Carlson of Westford, Jenna Carlson of Tewksbury, Christian Lillyman of Leominster, and Nicole Lillyman of Tampa FL; and was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Sebastian Russo.

A Springtime committal service will be held in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
