Town Hall Renovations on Track

Project could be wrapped up by early September.

Renovations to Tewksbury’s Town Hall are ongoing, but according to the current work schedule, final inspections of the completed project could wrap up by early September.

Town Meeting approved the $6.1 million Town Hall renovation back in October 2010. The project’s scope includes expanding usable space and making the building ADA compliant.

In Oct. 2013, selectmen approved design plans for the project submitted by Kang Architects. Town officials settled on the plan that most compromised preserving the historic aesthetic of the current Town Hall, while making much needed improvements to the building’s functionality.
