Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest of Lowell Woman

The 51-year-old faces drug possession and distribution charges.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Police arrested a 51-year-old Lowell woman following a traffic stop. She now faces drug distribution charges.

On Monday, Jan. 11, members of the Tewksbury Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main Street (Rte. 38) near the intersection of the Interstate 495 off-ramp.

Tewksbury Detectives subsequently arrested Stacey McCluskey, 51, of 45 Walnut St. in Lowell, MA for “Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class C Substance (Clonazepam 1 mg)” and “Possession of a Class B Substance (Suboxone).” Tewksbury Detectives seized 87 Clonazepam (1 mg) pills and 1 Suboxone pill as a result of an on-scene motor vehicle search.

Stacey McCluskey was due due to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
